Immigration Services Hotline for New Clients
Call: 616-221-5542
If you are new to LIA and want to know if you're eligible for an immigration case or remedy, be sure to call our hotline! This is a free service where you will speak directly with a legal representative to discuss your situation and determine if LIA's services are right for you.
Whether you are a recent arrival to the US, new neighbor moving into the state of Michigan, or a long time resident, the LIA Hotline for New Clients is for you!
Safe, confidential, free, and an experienced immigration expert is on the other end of the line.
We do not schedule calls in advance, so be sure to set your reminder for Tuesdays 8am-12pm and Thursdays 2pm-6pm and call our direct hotline number at 616-221-5542.
-
- You currently live in the state of Michigan
- You are seeking an immigration remedy
- This hotline is not meant for general legal questions, but specifically focused on immigration
Returning LIA clients can call our regular office number, as can anyone seeking to renew an existing immigration remedy such as work permit, green card/residency, Temporary Protected Status (TPS), Military Parole in Place (MPIP), Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA), and travel documents.
When to call the hotline:
Seeking a work permit for the first time
Want to find out how to reunite with a family member
Your status "asylee" or "DACA" and you want to travel outside the US
You live in the US without status and want to know your options
You entered the US through the CBP One app or granted a temporary "parole" status and want to know next steps
You married (or are considering marrying!) a US citizen and want to know what immigration next steps are
You have been the victim of domestic violence, violent crime, human trafficking, or other abuses and do not have status
These are just a sampling of reasons we recommend the LIA Hotline for New Clients - give us a call at (616) 221-5542 and we'll discuss your unique circumstances to determine what's possible.
